  • When should I apply to study at Siam University?
    You should complete the application process by April if you wish to take class in the 1st semester of the academic year, which starts on the 3rd week of June.
  • What are the visa requirements to be a student in Thailand?
    The immigration authorities of Thailand requires that all those visiting the country for the purpose of studying acquire a non-immigrant ED type of visa (student visa) before entering the country. In order to obtain such visa, you need to present the Thai consular in your country with the acceptance letter issued by Siam University. This acceptance letter is issued when your application to study at the university has been approved.
  • What are high school certificate equivalent qualifications accepted for admission at Siam University?
    • M6 or grade 12 certificate
    • GCE 'O' level / GCSE with minimum grade "C" in 5 subjects including Mathematics and English
    • GED with minimum grade "C" in all subjects (Language Arts Writing, Language Arts Reading, Social Studies, Science, and Mathematics)
  • How can I obtain a new student ID card, in case I have lost it?
    First contact the registration office - building 12; 1st floor - to check if it has been found. If not, you may order a new ID card for the fee of 50 B.
  • Can I take the GED test in Thailand?
    Yes. It is possible to take test anytime throughout the year at the test center in Bangkok: Bangkok Maneeya Center #1, Thailand, Institute of International Education, 6th floor Maneeya Center 10330 Bangkok (Tel. +66-2-652-0734). The test is entirely computer-based and comprises 5 sections: Language Arts, Reading; Language Arts, Writing; Mathematics; Science; and Social Studies. All 5 sections can be taken in one time or two times or each section separately. See also: GED Official web site.
  • Can I take the GCE 'O' level test in Thailand?
    Yes. It is possible to take the test at the British Counsul. GCE examinations are offered every May/June and January. In Thailand, students who obtain five passes at ‘O’ level (grade A, B, C) can apply for an equivalent to the Mathayom 6 certificate from the Ministry of Education. See also: British Council web site.
