International Collaborations –

Siam University has signed many ‘memoranda of understanding’ and academic contracts with some of the world’s foremost institutions of higher education. The purpose of these collaboration efforts with a variety of universities in the United States, Europe, Asia, and Australia is to exchange help and support in academic and technological pursuits. Close relationships with such universities and institutions have shaped and encouraged projects for exchanging teachers, students, academic documents and journals, as well as the development of educational formats, curriculums, and teaching methodologies.

In addition, Siam University has gained accreditation and recognition as a member of the following organizations: the International Association of Universities (IAU), the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP), the International Association of Hotel Schools (EUHOFA), the Association of Southeast Asian Institutions of Higher Learning (ASAIHL), the Asian Regional Training and Development Organization (ARTDO), and the Association of Universities in Asia and the Pacific (AUAP). Siam University has also been appointed to house the Southeast Asia office of the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP) and the APEC Youth Center. The university’s current president, Pornchai Mongkhonvanit, was honored to have been selected by the IAUP as President from July 2005 through 2008 term and is currently an advisor to the association.
