Abstract

            The objectives of this research were 1) to study the conditions of production management affecting management efficiency of hard-disk-drive industry in Thailand. 2) to study factors affecting production management efficiency of hard-disk-drive industry in Thailand. 3) to propose production developmental guidelines in order to improve the management efficiency of hard-disk-drives in Thailand. The methodology of this research was mainly Quantitative. Data collection from 486 respondents within the hard-disk-drive manufacturing chain was collected. The statistical techniques used were descriptive statistics and structural equation model for hypothesis testing. Qualitative data collection was compiled through in-depth interview to describe quantitative results. Key informants of this research were employees and management teams of the hard disk drive manufacturers. Results of the study showed that the mean score of total quality management was at a moderate level ( X =3.34), whereas Lean manufacturing, total productive maintenance, and management efficiency had the mean score at a high level which were ( X =3.43), ( X =3.42), and ( X =3.44), respectively. Furthermore, structural equation model of management efficiency of hard-disk-drive industry in Thailand was developed from literature review which was consistent(.:J) with the empirical data.             The goodness of fit indices were X2 = 68.934, df = 57, GFI = 0.982, AGFI = 0.962, CFI = 0.998, NFI = 0.989, RMSEA = 0.021 and p-valuc was equal to 0.134. In addition, path coefficient between total quality management and management efficiency was equal to 0.59, whereas path coefficient between productive maintenance and management efficiency was 0.26 with statistical significance at 0.01 level. However, path coefficient between Lean manufacturing and management efficiency was equal to 0.15 without statistical significance. The findings showed that the independent variables could explain 92 percent of management efficiency.

Abstract

            The objectives of this research were lo study I) the current state of the retention management of scarce professional nurse in regional hospitals under the supervision of the public health permanent secretaryoffice. 2) management factors affecting the retention of scarce professional nurse in regional hospitals under the supervision of the public health permanent secretaryoffice, and 3) to develop recommendntions for the management of the retention of scarce professional nurse in regional hospitals under the supervision of the public health permanent secretary office. The methodology of this research was mainly Quantitative. Data collection was compiled through questionnaires. Samples were 504 professional nurses in regional hospitals under the supervision of the public health permanent secretary office. The statistical techniques were employed to analyze data included descriptive and inferential statistics by utilizing structural equation model for hypothesis testing. Qualitative data collection was compiled through in-depth interview.
The results of the study showed that the current retention of professional nurse derived from profession ideology reason which had the mean score at the highest level. The averugc opinions of factors affecting the retention of professional nurse in regional hospitals were at a highlevel, especially the transformational leadership factor was at the highest level. From structural equation model developed by researcher, path coefficient between human capital development strategy and the retention of professional nurse was at the highest level at 0.96, perception of organizational justice at 0.73, transformational leadership at 0.43, happiness at work at 0.12, and a chance for career progression was -0.02 with statistical significance at 0.01 level.             The independent variables could explain 85 percent of the retention of professional nurse. Results from synthesizing qualitative data were found that the govenunent should attach great importance to the current retention of scarce professional nurse. The Ministry of Public Health, including related agency should work together for policy setting in order to support knowledge and work skills of workers. Furthermore, they should promote the welfare of workers such as remuneration, a chance for career progression, job duties, welfares, work environment, and work life quality, etc. The resolutions of resignation of professional nurse were the creation of happiness in the workplace, career progression, work and life balance, the satisfaction i remuneration, human capital development strategy, transformational leadership, the perception of organizational justice, organizational commitment, and happiness at work.
Regarding the research recommendations, the hospitals should have clear nursing development policy and continuous improvement procedure that would benefit professional nurse. This will increase the chance of the retention of professional nurse.

Abstract

            The objectives of this research were to study focused on Special Economic Development Zones in Thailand have been initiated for more than ten years; however, the implementation has not achieved the goal since the plans normally fell This qualitative research aimed to study the management model for Tak Special Economic Development Zone. The data were gathered from two different SEZs in Thailand including SEZ Songkla and SEZ Nakhorn Phanom. Relevant information was also collected from some other SEZs overseas namely: China, Malaysia and the Philippines. The data and information were then analyzed and evaluated, no matter whether the management was successful or not. Eventually, a possible structure that seemed to suit Tak Special Economic Development Zone was introduced, and a proper management model was formulated hopefully to get the most out of its newly adopted strategies. The fieldworks in SEZs Tak, Songkla and Nakhon Phanom were conducted via document exploring, in-depth interviews and discussions with stakeholders like the government authorities, private sectors, local administrative organizations, businesspeople, traders, and local citizens.
The study found that, the SEZ models in China, Malaysia, and the Philippines all apply the management structure that authorizes the government to completely control the whole operation process. They launch the plans and stipulate the policies performing as a legalized SEZ manager. This type of structure provides benefits for only some business groups. From data analysis with some experts in the area, it was recognized that in order to set up a successful SEZ management Model as TAK Special Economic Development Zone Authority (TSEZA), the basic management structure should consist of 12 committee members selected from experts in the central government authorities, local authorized units, private sectors and local citizens. The strategies and development plans should be extended throughout a period of 20 years during which sub plans are to be utilized ranging from 2 years, 5 years, 10 years, 15 years and 20 years respectively. Following-ups and assessments are also recommended to assure improvement and target achievement.

Abstract

            This is a qualitative research to answer the objectives of managing the dissemination of Buddhism by the provincial centers for Buddhism dissemination in Thailand. The conceptual framework were constructed upon eight dimensions, including : planning, organizing, potential development of the disseminators, policy implementation, method of dissemination, technology, organizational environment and social relations. The tool for collecting the data were an interview forms. The key sources of informant are four Buddhism dissemination centers in Thailand.
            The finding data were analyzed and explained according to framework comprised of eight dimensions. The result of the study concluded that the provincial Buddhism dissemination centers in Thailand organizations’ structure and planning have been well implemented. There also have staffs’ skill development and organization shared value uniting all them together Nevertheless, incompetency of Information Technology and data base also existed as well as the limitationon staffs’ work attitude and understanding.
            Recommendations for managing the mission of the provincial center for Buddhism dissemination includes : 1. A shift in the perspective, value, attitude, goals and work practice in implementing the plans. 2. An environment of understanding among staffs of all levels, this will lead to trust and participation. 3. New technologies to accumulate the database and management capacity building for organizational staffs and 4. Continuality of work performance assessment and monitoring. In addition, modernizing work system best fit with the changing context of innovation and technologywill lead to a sustainability of Buddhist knowledge dissemination.

Abstract

            This research was conducted to find out empirical data to reflect the reality and the feasibility of community enterprises, including factors affecting effective management of community enterprises. In fact, there has never been a systematic study on this before since Community Enterprise Promotion Act, B.E. 2548 until now. The objectives of this research were 1) to study the current state of effective management of community enterprises in the central region of Thailand, 2) to study management factors affecting effective management of community enterprises in the central region of Thailand, and 3) to provide recommendations for policy setting and management of community enterprises promotion in the central region of Thailand. Quantitative research was conducted through data collection from questionnaires. Samples of this survey were consolidated 390 members of community enterprises in the central region of Thailand by stratified random sampling. The statistical techniques utilized to analyze data were descriptive and inferential statistics. Moreover, structural equation model was used for hypothesis testing along with qualitative data collection which was compiled through in-depth interview.
            The result of the study showed that community enterprises could rely on themselves. This could be seen from a constant increase in the number of community enterprises, adaptability, and a variety of products. This was due to the fact that the government was the main factor that enabled community enterprises to build their community networks strongly. Moreover, an analysis of factors affecting effective management of community enterprises in the central region of Thailand consisted of government support factors, leadership factors, community participation factors, local wisdom factors, and entrepreneurship factors. All these factors had the mean score at a high level. Furthermore, structural equation model of effective management of community enterprises in the central region of Thailand which was developed form literature review was consistent with the empirical data. The goodness of fit indices were GFI = 0.966, AGFI = 0.935, CFI = 0.996, NFI = 0.976, and RMSEA = 0.023. Thus, hypotheses were accepted with statistical significance at 0.05 level. The findings showed that all independent variables could explain 55 percent of management efficiency.
            Research findings showed that the government should establish the responsible agency to follow up on their performance and to put the policies into clear and continuous practice. The duties of the government agency included policy setting, budget allocation, community enterprise network building, and business opportunity creation. Furthermore, the accepted leader of organization members should lay the guidelines, set the organizational target, use innovation to develop local wisdom, encourage participation in all sections, and bring techniques to add value to products or services and build competitive advantage.
            In respect of the research recommendations, the government should be a facilitator to provide sponsorships in the term of funding or sources of low interest loans for the community enterprise members with less capital. Moreover, the government should continuously hold training programs to develop basic production skills of the community enterprise members and use technology to increase online marketing channels such as online distribution, online payment, and effective online communication systems. Lastly, the government should also use technology to develop new products and services and promote local wisdom knowledge transfer in order to conserve local wisdom identity and enable community enterprises to manage their business successfully.

Abstract

This research contains three objectives: 1) to study the effectiveness of the information system management in the Islamic Bank of Thailand in its level of achievement 2) to study the management factors leading to the effectiveness of the information system management of the Islamic Bank of Thailand and 3) to propose recommendations on improving the effectiveness of information system management of the Islamic Bank of Thailand
The research employed mixed method research including both quantitative and qualitative method. The quantitative data were collected by distributing questionnaire forms to the samplings of the population of the study, which are 329 staffs of the Islamic of Thailand. For the qualitative data, in-depth interview sessions with four top experts of the bank were conducted, considering their knowledge, professionalism and expertise in the area of banking IT Management.
A multiple regressions statistical technique (stepwise method) was employed in analyzing the factors affecting the effectiveness of information system management of the Bank. Result of the study found that the factor of information resources utilization and the factor of work satisfaction are the strongest predictors of the information system management effectiveness of the Bank. The result from qualitative side revealed the significance of public policy on IT outsourcing. To enhance the potential of financing service in line with technological change, one must pay attention to the institutional procedures and conditions including the process reconstruction and enhancing develop human resource capacity to cope with the new coming technologies.

Abstract

The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the level of the effectiveness of non-commissioned officer entrance examination fraud prevention of the Provincial Police Region 7, the Royal Thai Police 2) to study the factors affecting the effectiveness of non-commissioned officer entrance examination fraud prevention of the Provincial Police Region 7, the Royal Thai Police and 3) to conduct a case study for recommendations on effectiveness improvement of non-commissioned officer entrance examination fraud prevention in Thailand.

This research employed a mixed method research technique: the qualitative part involved in-depth interview sessions with ten supervisors of the exam supervisory committee of whom expertise in Management Information Technology (MIS) and managing the information technology. For the quantitative part, 250 samplings of the officers who in-charge of administering the exam were given the questionnaire forms for data collections. Analytical statistics include percent, average, standard deviation and multiple regressions (stepwise method).

The result of study found 1) the level of the effectiveness of non-commissioned officer entrance examination fraud prevention meets the ongoing objectives of work satisfaction on administering the exam and the perceptions on equality, fairness, transparency and accountability. 2) Factors affecting the effectiveness of non-commissioned officer entrance examination fraud prevention consist of good governance, human resource development, technological management and law, regulations, and procedures.

Recommendation to increase the effectiveness of the examination fraud prevention includes : the recruitment and training system that enhance the capacity of the organizing and supervising officers in conducting the exam effectively and efficiently, this is to reduce the chance of corrupting, the use of modern technology to monitor, to inspect, and to prevent examination fraud, the law amendments strengthening all preventive mechanisms for fraud combatting and above all, the call for good governance practices from every party involved in the process.
